There’s a misconception that getting Google Traffic is something only heavily invested Internet Marketers are able to do. For those of you who have created websites only to find that you are not getting any web visitors at all, this is an understandable belief. The problem is that it is not completely accurate to state that only the big boys make money on the Internet, in fact, anyone can make money, regardless of your financial marketing power and experience.
To emphasize, you want to go after Google Traffic and forget the rest. That’s right, you want to forget about the Yahoo’s the Bings and so on, and the reason is that if you want to make money with Adsense, you need to make Google Happy. Another reason to trying to rank for Google is that Google is the biggest, most frequently used Search Engine on the planet, and that means there are more people using Google than the others. More people searching the Internet, means more money in your pocket if you can divert some of that web traffic to your site.
As mentioned in a previous post, you need to build links to your site, using the anchor text of the keyword that you are trying to rank for. That is a simple enough explanation of how to rank for a keyword, but why is it that it isn’t often all that easy to do? I’m sure many of you have been trying to rank some keywords to no avail and regardless of how many anchored keywords you’re getting, you don’t seem to be getting anywhere.
The problem with most people trying to make money online with Adsense is that they attempt to go for keywords with heavy competition and that is where most people fail. The keywords that you should be going for are the ones that have little to no competition. That means that you should be going after the Long Tail Keywords, and what this is in a nutshell is a keyword that has 3 or more words in it, for example, Make Money Online is a long tail keyword. The reason you want to search out long tail keywords is because often, but not always, one or two word keyword has been completely dominated by heavily financially backed Internet Marketers. That means that if you are trying to rank on page one of Google for the keyword Insurance, Credit Cards, Money etc. you are fighting a battle that has already been lost before it began.
Now you know that you are going for long tail keywords and not the one or two words keywords, what next? Before you decide to put all your time and money into boosting up a long tail keyword, you need to get organized. For starters, you need to do some keyword research in order to find out which keywords are worth fighting for and which ones are useless. What this means is that not all keywords are worth ranking for, because advertisers on Google’s Adwords network are not bidding on those keywords, and therefore you will get very little money for your clicks. I’ll show you in a later post on how to do a little keyword research, I’ll be giving you information on things that I wish I knew when I first started, so stay tuned.
In the meanwhile, for those of you who are trying to Get Google Traffic and are already familiar with some of the concepts that I’ve outlined above and are just looking to free backlinks, click here to join a very cool and free backlink network.
