There is so much talk on the Net regarding Google punishing sites that have too many incoming links and I thought it would be a good time to set the matter straight. Below, is a absolutely brilliant video made by the people over at freetrafficsystem.com that addresses all the fears and uncertainties that site owners have regarding their linking campaign.
I highly recommend that you watch the video as it will discuss the reasons why Google will not and cannot punish you for your incoming links. The video will show you how the very indication of a system that can punish webmasters for their SEO linking campaigns is not only a fallacy, but if it were true, would indicate a serious flaw in the algorithm of the Google Search Engine. In a nutshell, the answer is that too many links cannot hurt your site one bit. In fact, the only way that Google, in my opinion, can punish you is by manually over-riding the automatic algorithm, which means that you would have to be either very high profile or be conquering high value keywords in order to get into big bad Google’s radar.
On the possibility that too many links too fast can hurt your site, then the very essence of how the Internet operates would break down. Consider for example, popular topics that are linkable, or news items of any sort which can, overnight (if you’re lucky), send hundreds of links at your site. The chance of Google screwing you over for all these links just doesn’t make sense. But perhaps the biggest reason that too many links, or too many spammy links to your site won’t hurt you is that if this were the case, then your competitors could easily take you down by devising their own sinister SEO campaign on your sites. That means that the Internet would be open to all forms of abuse, which would make Google a completely useless Search Engine.
The point is that you need to test these things for yourself, and stop listening to the so-called pros who throw fancy words like SandBox, De-Indexing, Google Slap and other such hypothetical concepts without backing it up with either hard facts or intelligent, scientific analysis, and I’m sorry but I just don’t buy the ‘Trust me, I’ve had this happen to me’ B.S. Look, I’m all for anecdotal information as long as it is backed up with some sort of real information. What you need to stay away from are those people who pretend to tell you everything and nothing at the same time, meaning that if they’re saying things like the following:
- I’ve just doubled my income.
- I’ve just been involved in a very serious Internet Marketing campaign that has made me thousands, but sorry I can’t share that info with you.
- You wouldn’t understand because you’re a newbie.
- Newbies screw everything up, so I can’t tell you everything I know.
And so on and so forth. If you see people using some of the above tactics in their posts, be wary because they are most likely attempting to guide you to something that will cost you a lot of money. Unfortunately, the world of Internet Marketing is all about being vague in order to rope you in so beware and keep your thinking cap on.
Getting back to the incoming links can hurt you, watch the video and learn a little about how the real pros do things, but don’t let your guard down until you’ve tested the hypothesis. Meaning that, as informative as this video is, you still need to test it out yourself, don’t be lazy. Fortunately, the freetrafficsystem.com service is free so you’ve got nothing to lose and everything to gain. Remember, incoming links in combination solid writing and intelligent keyword researched posts is the way to make money online, and you cannot be lazy when it comes to building your incoming links. Lastly, don’t be afraid that Google will smite you for your incoming link campaigns, be brave and keep trying new angles because you only learn through your mistakes.
